Residents of Eldoret Town in Uasin Gishu County thronged the streets to celebrate William Ruto’s Presidential win Monday evening.
The crowd, that had converged as early as 12pm to follow events at the Bomas of Kenya from a giant screen erected along Uganda Road, erupted into celebrations as soon as the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Chairperson Wafula Chebukati announced that Ruto was the winner of Tuesday, August 9 General Election.
