The former councilor elected Turkana governor

The outgoing Loima Member of Parliament Jeremiah Ekamais Lomurukai was elected Turkana county governor after garnering 66,631 votes ahead of his closest competitors in former Petroleum and Mining CS John Munyes and Turkana central MP John Lodepe who managed 41,866 votes and 33,639 votes respectively.

Lomurukai has risen through the ranks from serving as a councillor during the defunct local government to a parliamentarian after he was elected Loima legislator in the 2017 elections…
