KTN business news anchor Joy Doreen Bira has been arrested by Ugandan soldiers in Kasese region, Uganda.
According to the Daily Monitor, Biira was arrested alongside her husband and three friends.
Reports indicate that Joy Doreen Bira was arrested on Sunday night, November 27, after police raided her uncle’s house.
Sources say the news anchor was arrested for taking photos and videos of the violent Kasese attacks and sharing them on social media.
Joy Doreen Biira was born in Kasese, Uganda on September 5, 1986. She is a broadcaster of Ugandan descent.
