Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo was challenged to share a number of extravagant items he has ever purchased in life, and what his biggest regret was.
Kabogo, while speaking with comedian Jalang’o on Friday, June 19, detailed that he regretted purchasing land which has been unproductive and spending millions to purchase a 12 seater airplane.
The ex-Governor highlighted that all the plane did was roam around and couldn’t be of help at a time Kenyans were stuck out of the country.
“I have purchased a lot of things and at times I believe I have gone overboard. If I had a better way to assist Kenyans I would have done so but my 12 seater plane just runs around,” Kabogo stated.
He further argued that he never regretted not being in office as he was enjoying a peaceful time with his family away from the precincts of power.
“Why should I regret yet leadership is my hobby. I am a businessman and all I want to do is make Kenya a better place. I want to work for Kenyans. Right now I can sleep up to 9 a.m.
“At times I find Kiambu residents outside my gate asking for help and I wonder what to do. The MPs, MCAs and the incumbent Governor possess the money allocated to the community,” Kabogo stated.
Famous for living an opulent life, he further stated that he owns an amphibious car, one of his best rides.
The vehicle uses a patented hydraulic system to raise the wheels into the wheel wells, allowing the vehicles to plane on water. These vehicles can transition between land and water modes in about five seconds.
“I am also looking for money to purchase the New Bentley Bentayga,” he added. The high-end car costs up to Ksh48 million depending on the design; Â Bentayga, Bentayga Diesel, and Bentayga Mulliner.
