The police in Keiyo South are looking for a man who reportedly bit off his brother’s ear in a fight over a tree.
The incident that happened at around 10 am yesterday shocked the villagers at Chepkosom.
Trouble started when the suspect cut down the tree which was being claimed by his younger brother.
“The tree was planted by my brother whose ear was bitten off,” said Mr. Ng’etich.
The witness said the suspect then fled the scene after committing the act.
“We do not know what he is going to do next because he fled with a panga and had threatened to kill someone,” said Ng’etich. Area Assistant Chief Gladys Kurgat said the police have launched a manhunt for the suspect.
“I was informed by area Nyumba Kumi chairman that two brothers had fought over a tree. I rushed to the scene and found one of them had his ear bit off and that’s when I called the police,” said Ms. Kurgat.
The administrator said the victim was rushed to Kamwosor Dispensary.
